Postural Therapy

What is Posture Therapy?

Posture therapy involves simple corrective exercises designed to relieve pain by improving your posture and restoring correct alignment from head to toe. Too often we look at the symptom/area of pain rather than finding the root cause. At Pain Free Clinic of Denver we do a postural evaluation to help determine root issues. Once we find the true cause of your pain we begin a corrective exercise program to help restore proper alignment and functional movement thereby reducing and healing your pain.

By changing your position and improving your posture, you can eliminate:

Knee Pain
  • back pain

  • neck pain

  • knee pain

  • foot pain

  • shoulder pain

  • and more...

Results of Posture therapy:

  • Relief from chronic pain

  • Feeling lighter, taller and stronger

  • Get more out of your current exercise routine

  • improve athletic performance

  • Get your life back!

Why Posture Therapy Works

The reason Postural Therapy works so well is because it retrains your body and your muscles to do what they were designed to do from day one. Pete Egoscue tells us “your bones do what your muscles tell them to do.”

Therefore, if we replace the dysfunction with new, correct muscle memory, your posture will improve and your pain will disappear... just like it has for countless others!

Healing Options:

Individual Training:

Our one-on-one clients experience the most improvement in a shorter period of time. These clients go through the postural evaluation and follow up with anywhere from 8 to 16+ visits to begin the process of realigning & strengthening the body. Stasia uses techniques from her certifications including The Egoscue Method, Foundation Training, MUTU System™ (core & pelvic floor) and her current training to become a Postpartum Exercise Specialist with Sarah Duvall, PT.

Group Classes:

Group classes are great for someone who doesn’t have a lot of pain, but wants to go through corrective exercise sessions with a group. The exercises are not individualized, but more of a general approach. The classes are a lot of fun and we have a lot of repeat clients quarter to quarter.

I joined Pain Free Clinic of Denver because I have two bulging discs in my neck that impinge on nerves and cause pain in my shoulders and arms. I wanted a program that would correct any posture issues that may be contributing to my neck issues and the resulting pain.  I also wanted to avoid surgery if at all possible. My experience with Pain Free Clinic has been great.  Stasia is great to work with because she is knowledgeable, listens to feedback and continually evaluates the menu of exercises in order to customize the program for maximum results.
